Aluminum Fluoride (AIF3) is an off-white granular material.  It is chemically inactive at room temperatures.  Mainly used to adjust the molecular ratio in aluminum electrolyzing bath as a flux, Aluminum Fluoride is also used in brazing, in optical coatings, and in the glass and ceramic industries.
